UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
This thing here is being widely reported as a NEW SEGA HANDHELD. It is called the SEGA Vision. It is, as far as we can tell, an extremely cheap rebranded Chinese video/MP3 player.

We are not excited. Which means you're not allowed to be excited either.

It's being produced by our "friends" at SEGA Amusements, which does not fill us with much confidence. Although Alan Smith is involved, which is good news.

Not "games" but "game" - as in one game. Probably Columns. This is clearly a cheap prize that'll be found in UFO catchers the world over, rather than a "PSP Killer."

This is an example of the sort of SHITE that SEGA Prize Europe usually pushes into the supply chain. This is why you should not be excited.

It's the famous wonky-eyed Sonic! He lives here. Who wants to meet up for a group photo opportunity?

WHERE HAVE WE SEEN HIM BEFORE?
  • Here.
  • Here.
  • Here.

The Pandora contains an SGX. The SGX is esentially a beefed up Niaomix20. Which was in the Dreamcast. So basically a Pandora is a Dreamcast. As is an iPhone and many other gadgets.

    Goooooo Dreamcast!

This thing is far from new. There was a UFO catcher filled with the things at the Trocadero last month when I was there. Even tried to win one but that machine has as much pulling power as Jade Goody in a bikini.

God knows why all the news sites are kicking up a fuss about it now.

The VCR tape symbolizing the mp4 capability of this device lets feel that this handheld has its two feet in the future.
    *yawn*

To think, I stole this from the Reg, emailed it to Zorg, even mentioned Cream porn, self-touching, and my hate for sony, and STILL didn't get mentioned on the site.

What do I need to send you to have my existence validated!?!?!?!?

Because it was just posted on NeoGAF, and that's where every news site gets all it's news from. Eurogamer wouldn't have any news to print without NeoGAF.

Eight people emailed a link to it in within the space of an hour. If I had the technology, I'd make some scrolling credits.

Wow, Sonic's arms are the wrong colour, that's embarassing.

Is that a sodding Kempston joystick? Any time a symbolic joystick image needs to be pulled out for the gutter press, it's a Kempston! Jeez, I bet those guys are not getting a penny for other people using their 30 year old joystick design!

The Reg was running this story on Friday afternoon and they had a picture of the actual UFO machine in situ, in the Chav-a-Dero centre.

I like how the joystick is the exact image you get by putting "joystick" into Google image search.

At that Sega Prize site, they sell a handful of different prizes to go inside your Sega Prize machines..

They don't have any Sonic stuff :(

    Not a sausage..
    ..

    ..
    They have Mario stuff though...

Ah, the Kempston stick. I had so many of them that me and my mates used to make bespoke Uber-joysticks out of all the best bits of the others, the left micro-switch out of one, the right out of another, the best button off another etc etc. These amazing Franken-sticks used to allow us to complete BLOODMONEY without losing a life... sigh...
