UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
A thing is deemed to have reached CRITICAL MASS when three separate individuals email us links to it. Three things have reached CRITICAL MASS so far this week.
CRITICAL MASS #1
Eurogamer's Ellie Gibson (unshakeable mental image) met and spoke to Yuji Naka. She mentioned UKR. The bad news is Yuji Naka hasn't heard of UKR. The good news is he seems to be up for a bit of flirtatious MSN action with us in the future!

CRITICAL MASS #2
This literally sensational thing about Sony off of The Onion. It is crushingly painful to forget about The Onion for six years, then go back to it and find it's STILL very funny. Actually better. What are they ON?

Actually there were only two. Could've sworn there were three.

That's the only Onion thing I've ever enjoyed.

I don't know what Yuji Naka will make of the Sonic banner if he comes here...

I think it's great!!

Is there any chance of Ellie dressing up as Lara and interviewing Yuji whilst sat on his knee?

I think that would work... or is it just me??

"or is it just me??"

Surely it is impossible to answer that question if you are anonymous?

maybe it is me then! I reached critical mess when the thought lingered in my head for too long.

The Onion link is not working for me.

Just as well, I don't like to encounter things of genuine worth, it makes me feel even more worthless.

That Naka interview was worth the page load alone. Genius - I expect candid shots of him in his underwear by the end of the week, if Zorg is on the ball. Or balls, as the case may be.

But-but-but...Yuji Naka is responsible for horrors such as Sonic 2006, Shadow the Hedgehog, and generally taking credit for someone else's character design. Kissing up to Zorg won't make us forget.

Eugene Nackers (Ai soh fohnneh, Ai mekkah mah sef laff!) made PSO. Which I happen to love, despite it ruining my life. Magical time playing it on the Dreamcast. Never to be repeated, (with any luck).

Critical mass #3: "Sega's Japanese main branch said Tuesday that it will close 110 arcades, cancel some games in development and seek to lay off 18 percent of its staff."

The good news is, he has now.

I think Yuji'll like the banner. As long as he's told why it is the way it is, I'm pretty sure he'll agree.

It's a shame he said UKR may contact him 'via SEGA' which probably means Zorg won't get through.

I definitely recommend getting him on board the blue skies in games campaign, then you can put his photo up and have something like 'endorsed by Yuji Naka'.

If it were me, I'd just try random email addresses until it worked, like yujinaka/yuji.naka/yuji_naka@sega.co.jp, one of them is bound to work!

As Anonymous (he sho' do post a lot!) said, Yu Suzuki is where the real interest lies. Mr Naka did not do enough great things. Sonic Team were by and large a failure. They best thing about them was the logo that made you feel special, quietly making your forget the games weren't very good. Sonic was 'rad, dude', but Mario was actually great.

Just been playing Virtua Cop 2, emulated with a mouse and have to say, I still love that game, even with the mouse. Need to get that light gun that works on any screen. £30 (for that gun) to play arcade perfect VC1, 2 House of the Dead sounds reasonable doesn't it?

I have actually sent in pictures of dreamcast swirls to this website which were cruelling ignored and not posted, even though they were funnier AND infinetly better than all of these pictures in this update combined. But then this sites creators did stick with the sonic logo through his darkest next gen days only to then get rid of him when unleashed (a sonic game which WASENT ACTUALLY BAD) comes out. weird/stupid. as a sega fan i am disappointed with this turn of events.
