UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
In an incredible twist, Leeds would appear to have plenty of PlayStation3s left for pre-order. This is certainly bucking the national trend!

LEEDS: Industry and Pride

ON THE SPOT REPORT: "Hello all, I've attached two photos taken in Leeds' main shopping area. As you can see, GAME are in their last few days of pre-orders for PS3, except that sign has been there for the last few weeks."

VIRGIN: Capitalist sympathising scum

"Virgin on the other hand are emphasising their student discount by any means necessary. I couldn't get photos of inside, but under every PS3 pre-order poster there are huge signs pointing out the 10% discount for all students. What they should be advertising is that with 10% off a PS3 you can buy yourself a Wii as well."

F.A.O. STUDENTS:
If you buy a PS3 this means you're not allowed to whine about loans or attend anti-capitalist rallies with your sack-cloth-wearing, dreadlocked, stinking, gap-year-in-Thailand-going-off-on, quorn-eating friends. You're also not allowed to spend the next 25 years of your life only talking about your "uni" friends and the things you did in "uni" and how much fun you had in "uni". That last one's a general rule even if you don't buy a PS3.

Were you not smart enough to go to "uni"

The words 'Pre' and 'order' should also have been hyphenated.

Reminds me of how my Sport and Soccer have been having the same "closing down sale" for the last 6 years.

What does F.A.O. mean??? I mean it I don't know.

You've obviously never been to Leeds then. All the students round here drive brand new Volkswagens and look like they're off Hollyoaks. Even buying a PS3 would be mere pocket change to the mincy southern twats.

So they're all Nathan Barleys, then?

You can tell that Leeds isn't the thriving centre of marketing/advertising excellence. Those posters could have been made by 6 yr olds....although I suppose the style of the message targets the right type of Sony gamer.

I think the photo must have missed the rest of the sign after "last few days" where it surely continues with "...until you can just pay your money and literally walk out the store with one of our vast stockpile instead of waiting until launch day"

But most stores don't give 10% off console sales... Are Virgin so desperate to get rid of these things?

I used to get a discount in HMV for working in a another shop and when I bought my DS they refused to let me have even the normal 10% discount. Well at least until I just spoke to another person who cared less and gave me 20.

And I'm afraid students seem to have moved on these days to being self important, coked-up, right wing, trust fund cunts

an advert at the bottom of the top photo proudly proclaims "Get your PS3 for less" than what? a small country?

bifdd - like when you get hit in a comic book

And I suppose it's the LAST FEW DAYS because you can buy the fucking thing off the shelf in a week! (ok - 9 days)

hahaha, i love it...it's true though, the XB2 is not value for money, it's a ripoff console for what you get, that and it breaks down in 1 week after purchase, i've been through 4 of the shitty things

How come it's always people who are obviously anti-microsoft that get all the duff 360's? Is it some ironic touch of fate? Or is it because they're bullshitting and haven't even had one 360, let alone gone through several?

I agree with pooboysam and saphion. I'm a native working-class Mancunian at university in York and I hate the students here. Partly because I have no "uni" friends to talk about and haven't done any things in "uni" and had no fun in "uni". There is a Jack Wills shop in York that makes matters worse.

I was about to post something about generalising not being a good idea, but then I realised which website I was posting on.

Ho ho.
