UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
Glen is really pushing his idea of readers sending in photos of their screens. So far he's the only one.

"In the interests of finally following through with something in my life, as promised, here is the photo of my photo on your site. It didn't turn out as interesting as I thought it would be as I had imagined some sort of mirror within a mirror effect taking place, but clearly that didn’t eventuate. So, in order to add some interest to the shot, I zoomed out a little (by that I mean moved the camera backward) and included the localised advertisement that I received. I imagine this will be different for all your readers around the world, some of whom seem to be very 'up' on this technology thing" - Glen.

"eventuate"?? What is it with these retarded made-up words?

This had better not be the main update.

On a side note in the "localised advert" that has to be the campest cartoon depiction of a businesman ever.

Coincidentally I also "followed through" while reading this update, the former being more satisfying than the latter.

Eventuate.

I have spent the past 4 months delvig headlong into the world of great classic literature. I won't say what authors as someone will say I am showing off because as we all know getting a FREE book from the LOCAL library and READING it is an unreasonable expectation from a Mega Drive owner.

I had not once encountered the word 'eventuate' on my literary travels. So well done. Have a sheep on me.

Strange, I don't even get adverts.
I like Glen though.

Why dont I get adverts? Am I discriminated for living Amsterdam and legging it from the economic downfall of my mother land?

I dont get adverts either. I guess you only get these bonus site features if you actually contribute compelling articles like Glens. :(

I agree. I'd like to see who would be tired first, Glen, or Zorg.

This made me laugh. Keep fighting for your dreams, Glen, the next one will have the mirror FX!

sigh . the site has ads. the people who do not see them have an adblocker. *wibble*
Anonymous Anonymous said...
I think it only has ads on item pages, not the main index.

Or at least that's the case for adblocker-less me.

Using a mirror may help with the mirror effect.

What you want is the tunnel effect. That requires more steps, in the same way in real life a shallow tunnel is more likely to be a bridge. You have created a bridge effect.

His advert is much better than mine. My adverts are all for Killzone 2 :( They are sadverts.

I was hoping that, by taking a photo of the already-photographed word verification (with the dodgy lines down the screen), the two images would fuse together and we'd be left with a pixel-perfect shot of charings, as thought it really WAS a printscreen.

I guess we'll just have to wait until the technology has eventuated enough.
