UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
A man found these. Badges that celebrate the past console wars we've fought in. If you still have the scars from getting beaten up by SNES owners for being edgy enough to own a Mega Drive, now is the time to reward yourself.

"SEGA should authorise these and send you some. You deserve it" - Neil.

DO WE DESERVE IT?
No. We've been pretending since about 2002 so it'd feel bad.

Yeah, but since 2002, we haven't had hardware to fanboyize over anyway. Hasn't stopped us trying. Medal clearly deserved.

The Mug-O-Drive can't compare to the SNES. Have fun with your horrible raspy music and 4 colour sprites. Losers.

Word verification: reeluk How very urban, to spell real that way. I can picture the wannabe hip hop stars bunking off from English to freestyle under a fly over. And then being on the dole for EVER.

That's OK, Sega have only been pretending to care about their games since 2002 as well.

P-p-pretending? Wh-wh-whaaat? Please tell me this is some kind of sick joke.

People may want to know about this young raconteur and his sexually curious Sonic fan fiction:

I fapped.

If you like shit looking systems with happy colours, loads of childish games and fat plumbers go enjoy the SNES.

If you want plenty of GOOD Sonic games, excellent Yuzo Koshiro tunes and adult games the Megadrive was your system.

I had 'Bobsawanker' as my word verification..typical eh?

Beaten up by SNES owners? SNES owners always seemed to be eight year olds and oucasts. All the 'cool' kids had a Megadrive. Pretty much the same with the Wiiiiiiii and XBOX360/PS3 these days..

Raspy music? I think not.

Thunderforce IV soundtrack.

I rest my case.

At my school owning a Megadrive meant you were tough. I remember once being warned to avoid one kid.
'Don't mess with him! He's hard. He's got a Megadrive.' I was informed.
Only one kid had a SNES. It became a tag. 'SNES Owner' he was called. That's a scar for life.

"If you still have the scars from getting beaten up by SNES owners"

Getting beaten up by small children and girls is hardly an excuse to reward oneself.

Also, it sucks that I can't comment on this site with Opera. Now I have to start some inferior browser just to post some irrelevant drivel nobody cares about.

Can't comment with Opera? Really? Then this message will never reach these english shores.

The real battle waa and is between Atari ST and Amiga. The first one is clearly better with midi-ports and everything, ha. Greets from Finland.

I once played some game on the Super Nintendo which had explosions and they sounded like a muffled fart. Nothing like the crisp explosion sounds that you got from the Megadrive.

I don't think I have to say which is the superior system.

wv: fatize - the process that children undergo whilst they slowly turn into Mario. Because he is fat.

Let's hope they will create a Saturn medal with the 3D pad, then I'll buy one ^_^

I don't deserve one of these. I had an Amiga at the time. We lost the home computer wars. Badly. :(

I have trouble with Safari on Mac. When I first post, the WV doesn't load, so I have to post my comment, tap random characters in the WV box until UKR reloads and gives me another WV, which always works second time. A bit odd, but worth the effort to post bollocks like this...

WV - hersojou - she showed you. yes she did.

Meandmy hit the nail on the head. The NSES was not special, and Megadrive was a far superior machine.

I had the same problem, but now it works fine. I always hit Preview first, then Post Comment.

I had a Megadrive AND a SNES (because of Mariokart. Oh and SFII. Oh and Bomberman). I beat myself up, and was scared of myself because of how hard I was. Do I qualify for a medal?
Anonymous Anonymous said...
See, that's what all modern console are missing, built in MIDI ports. Of course.

The ST was a piece of shit and got stomped into the ground by Commodore.

Badben - had a Megadrive and a Snes? HAD???
I still have both my Megadrive AND Snes.
And Mastersystem and Nes
And Saturn, Vectrex, Dreamcast, N64 and Gamecube.
And they're all wired up to the tv and ready to run (except the Vectrex which needs no tv)
C64's in the loft and I foolishly gave my 'miga away though.
How confused am I now? How many medals do I get?
Or am I classed as a traitor and shot at dawn?

Ah - the amiga days, had an A4000 with the 060 accelerator. Best games for me were ZeeWolf and Virus....had to post that out of sheer nostalgia

Not Speedball 2, Super Skidmarks (snigger), Cannon Fodder and Paradroid 90?

"The ST was a piece of shit and got stomped into the ground by Commodore."

Yeah, to be honest ST was bit like Megadrive and Amiga like SNES when it comes to technical terms. I've been playing lots of 16-bit games on these evil emulators and hardly ever I bother to boot up Megadrive one. SNES with Mario is clearly superior. I love Dreamcast though and it's my favourite console ever. Atari ST is my favourite computer. I just love the losers.

Idiot from Finland: The ST was a good machine, it only lost on a technicality. You should buy a ps3!

Anonymous: Commodore? Who are they? Didn't they used to make calculators? The Amiga outlasted the ST games-wise, fair enough, and the games were better after the initial few years of lazy ports from ST to Amiga despite the 1/3 higher price point. But there really wasn't that much in it. Probably too many similarities with xbox 360 and ps3 there for fans of this site. Oh, Dreamcast is an acorn A3020.

Megadrive owners: Come on, you seriously think it's better than the SNES? I think it's all beginning to make much more sense now... this site, the dreamcast worship... I feel like I've peered into Pandora's box the morning after Pandora's visit to Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck.
