UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
We're supposed to be excited about this Brazilian portable Mega Drive emulator, but we are not. There is nothing particularly evocative or prestigious about the "Tectoy" brand. It is not steeped in history. We did not spend ten years in a bedroom entranced by Tectoy productions.

Tectoy can, to be blunt, stick its licensed, recycled rubbish up its own arse.
Tectoy Mega Drive

Also, we have HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH of paying for Golden fucking Axe on various retro compilations. And that type of blue plastic always breaks in minutes. If you want to do this sort of thing, hack a PSP. Free Mega Drive games for ever and a powerful sense of rebellion against The Man.

So now you're encouraging people to buy PSPs? For shame.

Plus if you're going to play a Megadrive Sonic, Sonic and Knuckles ain't the one to play.

At least they know how to use photoshop

I'd buy it, but it just looks like yet another one of those shitty "the same 20 Mega Drive games that are bundled everywhere" emulators. For shame. A portable Mega Drive emulator with a USB connection for filling it with roms? YES PLEASE.

My girlfriend's either buying me a Sega Nomad or Paulina James's first anal DVD for Christmas. This will be such a happy time.

Also, if you're going to use a colloquialism, American ISN'T the one to use =o)

TecToy also did a Master System version a few years ago as well!

But they've got a well known infamy about fucking up well lived Sega titles like Wondeboy, by slapping cartoon licenses on them that noones ever heard of...

Monica in Monsterland? Fuck off!

Only downsides to owning a PSP is you look like a dick and everyone stops liking you.

Oh, and "ain't" ain't an American colloquialism, it first appeared in civil war-era England.

dywiyu - an American colloquialism meaning "die, will you?"

I would just like to say that the Xbox Live Arcade Sega Collections are excellent. Sonic 1 features the brightest and bluest-looking skies in game history scaled at "high-definition" while Sonic 2 also has an online 2-player mode.

Meanwhile, Streets Of Rage 2 has online co-op for the entire game and every game has Xbox achievements and perfect emulation.

Furthermore if you don't like the jaggy old MegaDrive graphics then you can turn on the smoothing which blurs the visuals into softer and rounder shapes while still keeping the look and feel of the original game.

Long live the 360! It's not just Sega history... it's IMPROVED Sega history!

Well done, Sega... Now just don't ruin it by releasing Sonic 3 on it's own! "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" is the only choice!

ARGH

They look horrid. Completely bastardised, give me an original Megadrive on a decent CRT through RGB any day. Fucking HD bollocks is no good for old Megadrive games.
