UK:RESISTANCE 'main page'
So bad it has to give its next "best game" away for free, as a bribe, to shift some more of those useless Blu-ray machines before the receivers are called in.

BigBigFinancialDisaster

So that's losing money on the hardware AND giving away the only game people might want this Christmas for free? This is Business 3.0!

'We'll skip the next few slides, they're just some minor financial details'

Here's a nice photo we found of Howard Stringer putting on a very brave face, while in front of some people who presumably know the truth about how badly it's all going.

Howard Stringer's financial presentation

And here's an example of the sort of shameful and disrespectful Photoshopping we hope not to see. We also hope not to see such bad use of the skew tool.

Something marginally offensive about the Welsh?

And here's a blank. Let's hope it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. We'd hate to see a man of Howard's pedigree humiliated by some pathetic internet jokers.

New comment forms? Oh Zorg, you do spoil us.

If I still had a working version of Photoshop I'd replace the "scattering leaves" pattern behind him with cash.

I don't see the appeal in Little Big Planet. A simple platform game with great graphics and physics, but still a simple platform game? Tons of user created levels, which will no doubt be mostly shit?

Or am I missing something?

Nice to see they're listing the Earth as one of their products. Mind you, they've told bigger lies in the past....

I am not Anonymous, but it's so much easier this way...

Anyway, isn't ripping the piss out of a man who already has the misfortune to be called 'Howard Stringer', like kicking a sad retarded cripple while he's down?

That's not the earth, that's Blu-ball. Out next year. Costs the earth.

I'll be here all week. Then I'm off.

I may go out and buy a PS3, and then not buy any games for it. And I do like the look of Little Big Planet.

How much are they losing on each unit?

Is that shit hitting the fan in the background...

According to the Grauniad, Sony claims to lose $130 for every PS3 sold. But when you've removed the bullshit factor it could actually be $260. Whatever it is, it's a lot they're pissing away.

As for buying one and not buying any games, if you don't buy a PS3 at all, Sony loses $400, which I think is better than them just losing $260.

To be fair, he has gone and said that the PS3 will never make a profit.

Is the globe actually a map showing the landfill sites that will be filled with the products shown?

Yay, I don't have to remember my Google/Blogger account email/user name/password!

Pity I don't have anything to say. Erm... Sony are shit!

I might have something to say. I can't believe that this game is the big thing for Sony this autumn. It might be fun, but it's just another Katamari type game that reviewers ejaculate over and gamers don't buy, don't play and don't care about. I am predicting 3 days maximum enjoyment can be extracted from this title. Check ebay for £20 copies the Sunday after it's release.

Is he called "Sackboy" because of his odd similarity to someone's scrotum?

Ranger, you might wanna read the article more closely, I suppose. Consoles sold always make a company lose money - this is called 'investment'. It's always been games that created profits and your article points that out: 'We are already making more money with the games than we are losing with the hardware'. The only company that didn't realize this was SNK as some of you might remember.

Nintendo makes a nice fat profit on every last one of the 40-billion odd Wiis that they've shifted.

Yeah, and now ask yourself why the production costs of the Wi are that low. Actually the Wii has been the first console (sitting in front of a TV) not trying to set new standards in terms of graphics - which is definitely an interesting idea.
