OK, the PS3 is expensive, but everything is too expensive for people in Chilena art house film, down to unused plasters and clean rice.
Going back to the earlier thread on ‘when I gave up gaming’ my times and circumstances are very similar to the ones that Mr. Socrates described. The sad difference in our cases is that he says he’s going ot get some in-joke sounding, meat related thing that struck me as slightly funny, whereas I STILL FULLY INTEND to get a PS3 and GT5 (if it ever actually can be coaxed into existance) which I accept is very sad indeed. I’m still doing it though. Don’t try and stop me or I’ll jump, I’m that unhinged. Don’t try and stop me or I’ll watch Avatar on BlueRay until my optic nerves try to throttle my brain.
Oh, and Wouldn’t. If that’s the farmer’s daughter who’s coming of age, then if there are porn bits, I’ll be hiding from them.

Super Meat Boy is a real game! Been waiting almost a year for it.
I did buy some games at Christmas on the Steam sale, but still haven’t played most of them. Got Braid for under £2 and beat it in 4 days. Tried Bioshock and then forgot to play it again. Haven’t even installed Mirror’s Edge or Mass Effect. About a month after buying the brief excitement about games wore off once again. Plus there is usually something better to do. I may change my mind once I’ve read every book ever published.
Getting Super Meat Boy because it looks fun and doesn’t involve any learning of controls. I am able to learn complex controls, I just no longer have the remotest interest in doing so. If I can’t have fun after 10 seconds of turning it on I’ll do something else. I did manage to give Fallout 3 a good go, but the sheer scale of the map and the choices made me nervous so I quit after realising I how many hours of my life I’d need to piss away in order to achieve anything.
