SONY’S PS3 “APOCALYPS3” BUG IS FRONT-PAGE NEWS
We trust everyone in the London office of Sony Computer Entertainment picked up their free copy of Metro this morning?
You can get yourself a commemorative, high-resolution PDF version of this special day on Metro’s web site, to print out and keep. Link sent in by a man so protective of his identity he used a disposable instant email provider.
And here’s a close up of the text. With a bonus photo of a man as annoying and idiotic as Sony itself and his lovely wife.
They even did a cartoon about it. THE WORLD IS LAUGHING. THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD IS LOOKING AND LAUGHING. Sony says the bug has now magically fixed itself, which is a bit of a shame. At least we had some fun and some reputations got damaged.

What I love is the fact that they’re trying to claim they fixed it. Bit of a coincidence that it magically fixed itself 24 hours after everything initially cocked up, eh?
Worst PR department of any major company I’ve encountered! I know that most PR people don’t give a toss, but they’re at least meant to give the impression that they do.

I am of course bitterly disappointed to see that Sony didn’t wipe out 90% of their install base overnight, but I am going to print out that Metro cover and laminate it so it can be “re-used”. I will probably try to aim for Tess’ face, it will be useful target practice in case a real woman ever lets me do that. I wouldn’t want to be inaccurate and hit this hypothetical real woman in the eye.

A textbook case of a close shave. But to be honest the bug wasn’t that serious to begin with.
/pats his oblivious SG-1000.

Vernons PS3 broke, he can’t send filthy messages to all his PSN whore chums now.
Tess knew, that’s why she’s still got a Saturn and regularly plays Sega Rally.

Is Vernon having a sneaky peak?

The whole world is laughing, but not at that Brook cartoon.

This further proves my point that this whole Seventh Generation of gaming consoles is a complete failure and utter junk being marketed to gamers. This is what they think OF YOU. ALL OF YOU OUT THERE. This is what the greedy, sociopathic, lunatics at these company think of YOU. They think (and are some what correct) that YOU will literally buy ANYTHING on the dam shelves as long as it gives you a taste of oblivion from your failed and useless lives. SAD SAD SAD SAD SAD…..I’ve stood by my boycott of consoles since the Dreamcast died. I will continue it until I see something that’s worth my devalued and fiat US Federal Reserve notes.
First we had the XBOX360 red ring of death escapade, then we had the Wii non-stop garbage – non HD software (except for Sega’s games) and irritating motion controls, NOW we have PS3 in a PR / software meltdown over there big hunk of over priced waste of precious resources.
All of you who throw your hard earned money at these thieves are perpetuating a broken and parasitic system.
Hmph!!!!!11!!!!1!!one one one exclamation.

I completely agree.
Despite all that I know I’ll still keep buying the pap they all peddle just for the one in a hundred games that’s actually worth playing :/

The process for me at the moment (and has been for the last 5 years to be honest) is:
10 PRINT “Get excited about new game”
20 PRINT “Get bored after 1 1/2 – 2 hours and stick game on shelf”
30 GOTO 10
Yeah that’s right segamuthas, did some of this post in Basic.
I’m that bored.

WOW – Those last few comments certainly resonate with me too.
Gaming is dead to me since the DC days, I thought I wanted an Xbox 360, the only console I’ve bought since. Aside from a few XBLA titles like Outrun, I never switch the bloody thing on. Still that’s most likely why it’s not RROD’d yet!
:( – Where art thou DC-2… we need the second coming to release us from the hoards of Satan.

La la la la I can’t hear you and I’m still getting a PS3 when GT5 comes out. CAN’T HEAR YOU (even though you’re right).
RAAARGH DON’T TRY AND STOP ME

We don’t have to, since gt5 isn’t going to be released on the ps3 anyway.
