UK:Resistance current most wanted games!

UK:Resistance would definitely have to say that Daytona CCE has to be the most wanted game of the moment. Although the recently released screenshots don't really show a massive improvement, the promised mix of "Daytona gameplay with Sega Rally graphics" just has to make this a must-buy game.

Most games magazines around the world have pretty much admitted to under-rating Virtua Cop. There's just something so cool about shooting people, and expect more civilian cross-fire 'incidents' when the top sequel Virtua Cop 2 is released in time for Christmas. Considering how well the original sold, (it's still in the UK top ten, trivia fans) there should be an even bigger market for the sequel as we've already got the guns, haven't we? So a cheaper stand-alone VCop 2 should be a contender for the Christmas number one spot.

For more mature Saturn owners, the prospect of being able to manipulate a gorgeous babe in a true 3D environment might not seem so amazing. But even so, Tomb Raider from the newly revitalised Core Design, looks like being a cracking game. Don't be fooled by many magazines printing hi-res PC shots to say thanks for the free holiday Core gave them, the Saturn version looks a bit rougher. But even so it could be one of the best looking games yet, with climbing, swimming, and hopefully showering with the feisty main character.

Are you bored with Doom yet? I am, and the prospect of Saturn owners being "honoured" (read "patronised" and "ripped off") with a late, rushed and generally inferior rehash-of-a-rehash, while Playstation owners are already on their second Doom game, is not too great. Still help is at hand in the form of Duke Nuke 'em 3D. Using the same engine as Exhumed (read our review yet?) a stunning conversion of the Quake-beating Duke is on the cards. May not be out in time for Santa to wedge one down your chimney, but those of you with Birthdays next Easter time should be able to get a Duke-sized pressie.

They haven't produced a duff game yet, but can Sega's legendary AM3 team force a decent Saturn conversion of Manx TT? A game that relied heavily on its custom cabinet might lack a bit of ooomph when I get it running on my 14" portable telly, and with Rally and the new Daytona dominating proceedings, will there be room for another 'drive 'em up?

Conflict in the UK:Resistance camp means that 2D games such as Marvel Super Heroes may have to be overlooked, but for those with a cultured taste in the very best of Capcom fighting games, the chance to pit Spidey against Wolverine must make this game a potential monster.

For those with very large Crystal balls, shall we have a little speculation session on the prospects for Virtua Fighter 3???? Rumours tend to vary from cartridge RAM upgrades to help with the memory needs, to actual hardware upgrades with extra processors to help pump the huge numbers of polygons this game needs.
I still don't believe that the visuals of Saturn VF2 have been bettered yet, and surely with a little external help in one form or another, the gameplay could be replicated, but the graphics? No way.

What do you want then?
